Summer intern project
A part of the Summer Internship Program, we were tasked with bringing a theoretical item through the entire product lifecycle. We decided to come up with something Kendra Scott had never tried and landed on watches. Each of the interns were from a different department so we effectively replicated each branch of the company. As the only marketing intern, my job was to come up with marketing strategies, create collateral, and art direct the launch. Because I was the only Adobe-trained member, I was also tasked with designing the product. This gave me the opportunity to try something completely new and think in a more technical manner. Our Planning/Allocations and Distribution interns priced out and decided how the watches would be produced. The product design team's intern sourced materials for our product. It was then my job to come up with a design that followed the third-party manufacture's requirements, while still portraying the Kendra Scott brand. At the end of the summer, we presented our work to the company executives and home office employees.
Round One Designs
For the first round, we really thought about materials. We decided we wanted to go with white mother-of-pearl, peach illusion (later changed to brown-mother-of-pearl), black mother-of-pearl, and solid black glass as the faces of the watches. Following this phase, we decided to add more Kendra-identifying shapes to really give it a branded feel.

Final Signature Watch Designs
The Joyce incorporates the iconic Danielle shape that all Kendra Scott fans recognize and love. It's vertical face shape gives it a look that no other watch companies have, making it like no other watch on the market.

Final Fashion Watch Designs
We decided to add in an extra watch to surprise the internship coordinators who thought we were only working on one item. Sliders on chains are very in right now so we added that in to the design to give it a fashion-forward feel.
