Update: DRLNG Packaging
Whew, the last couple days have been a whirlwind of packaging, packaging, packaging!! I have successfully spent more money than I probably should have but will now be stocked for the next 100+ orders! Isn't that exciting?
So my first task was to decide on and find a shipping package at a reasonable cost while still looking professional. I was undecided between a box or a padded envelope, but eventually decided to go with envelopes to help reduce the shipping cost for my customers (still haven't decided if I will take this on yet and offer free shipping.) I decided to go with ULINE, as they were the cheapest and most reliable wholesaler I could find. Quantity ordered: 250
After that, I knew I wanted to get a custom stamp made with the DRLNG logo on it. I settled on thestampmaker.com Quantity ordered: 1
Now on to supplies! Amazon was my best friend in ordering tissue paper and tape. Quantity ordered: 100 sheets & 3 rolls
To seal the tissue paper, I have decided to go with a small sticker with a "thank you" on it. After much research, I have decided to go with vistaprint.
And last, but not least.. care cards! So for these I wanted to do something a little fun. I'm a firm believer in hand written letters. They are so much more sincere than an email, text, or pre-printed note. I decided to go with a postcard to execute this. One side will be care instructions, and on the other I will write a hand-written thank you and happy birthday/congratulations on the other. For this once again vistaprint came in the cheapest. Quantity ordered: 100
This leaves me at $0.935 per package! My goal was to keep it under a dollar per package and I'm honestly surprised it was possible with all the things I wanted to include.
Hopefully in the next couple days I'll be able to upload some example pictures with the packages themselves!
